Meet Dalaina Bean
My journey to running for Magistrate of the Sixth District of Franklin County, KY is deeply rooted in my “why” — my children and my community. Becoming a mother at a young age, while navigating the challenges of life, work, and education, shaped my path. Despite setbacks, I found my true calling in service — a calling that has guided me through every chapter of my life.
As a single mother of four, I faced hardships head-on, juggling multiple jobs and caring for my extended family during difficult times. I returned to college during the height of the pandemic, earning my Bachelor of Arts from Kentucky State University, proving that my growth has no ceiling. Now, as a graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus on Community Development and Disaster Relief, I’m committed to turning my life lessons into meaningful public service.
My children inspire me every day — from my eldest on full academic scholarship at the University of Louisville to my youngest starting preschool. They represent resilience, hope, and the future I want to help build for all families in our community.
I’m running for Magistrate because I want to be a voice for the people of my district — especially those who, like my own neighborhood of Bellepoint, have faced hardship and felt overlooked during times of crisis. I know what it means to struggle, to persevere, and to fight for a better tomorrow.
This is my promise: to serve with heart, humility, and unwavering dedication to the people who welcomed me and my family with open arms more than a decade ago.
Thank you for considering me as your Magistrate. I look forward to working with you to make our community a better place for all.
